40 something weeks

Jackson is 10 months old. I can hardly believe he has been outside my tummy longer than he was in. Time flies so much faster on this side!
Jackson continues to be a very happy and content baby. He loves his sister and they spend a lot of time playing. His favorite pastime is playing in her room with her kitchen. He pulls everything out and makes a total mess. Kaitlyn doesn't mind at all, in fact she asks if he can play in her room with her. While he was sick, she prayed every night that he would get better so they could play. I hope they stay such good friends.

He is really close to crawling and does this really cute scoot on his hands and knees. He is not sure about grass. When we are outside, he much prefers to be on a blanket.  He loves to eat, and is not picky at all. The kiddo eats anything I serve up. It is nice. He loves to cuddle and much prefers to fall asleep in my arms than on his own, which is tough sometimes, but I know he will be too big to rock to sleep soon enough so I enjoy this as much as I can.  He growth has slowed a little and he is closer to the 50th percentile than the 100th. In fact, a lot of his clothes are too big for him now. He has slimmed down quite a bit, and fits quite nicely on my hip. He is my little buddy.

He loves his Daddy and his eyes light up when Markham gets home. He gets a little jealous when he sees Markham and Kaity play, it is obvious he can't wait to join in. Markham is thinking about taking him on the Father & Son Camp-Out in a couple of weeks, I am sure Jackson would be so happy to get some undivided Daddy time.
Happy 10 months Jacks!

Carrot Store

"I need to go to the carrot store mommy, wanna come with me?"
I didn't know carrot stores existed. I guess in Kaity's world they most definitely do.

First Flu Bug and Front Teeth

My poor little guy has been battling a nasty stomach flu bug since Tuesday--featuring all the awfulness you can imagine. On top of that he is cutting his top 2 teeth! It has been so miserable for him. I am so freaked out about him getting dehydrated. I have been very diligent with Pedialyte, but at the rate he is throwing up, and... you know, I am having serious trouble keeping up. It is so sad. The nasty stuff claimed all of us in one form or another but has seemed to hit Jack the hardest and longest.
This little face just breaks my heart. I spend a lot of time cuddling him, consequently our house is a total and complete wreck. Some things are just more important.
Kaitlyn is an awesome big sister, she spends a lot of time trying to keep him happy. Even to the sacrifice of her own health. I am just praying this will be over soon.
My washing machine is my very favorite possession as of late and has been getting very regular constant use. I think I have used more bleach this week than I have my whole life.

Cafe Rio, Red Mango and Goodbye

We spent some time with Ashley and Parker before they move to Iowa for the summer. It was fun. Kaity is broken-hearted that Parker will be so far away. When we got home, she said, "I want Parks."
Yeah I know, I should have moved the cups, I am such an amateur. It's ok, she still looks great ;)
I will so miss this face!!
Lindsey only has 5 1/2 weeks to go!!!
It is always happy at Cafe Rio!
Little Jacks was feeling the love
I love my girls!
We missed you Dylan! Good luck! Love your guts!

Sunny St. George!

We spent a week in St. George with my fam. It was so nice to feel the sun!
A lot of time was spent at the pool of course. Jackson experienced swimming for the first time. He loved it!
I can't believe he is 9 months old!
Markham was pretty busy catching and throwing Kaity around.
Uncle Jake and Aunt Lindsey were great sports. I bet Kaity did this about 50+ times.
She LOVES the water and would have spent the entire week in the pool if it were possible.
The girls got a chance to work on our tans! It was so so nice. I got some pretty good color. You wouldn't know it though, it's all covered up now...because it is freezing here!
Little Jack enjoyed some time poolside as well.
We drove to Snow Canyon and had a picnic one day.

Jake and Jackson had some good times together. I think Jake will be awesome at the whole daddy gig.

Kaity and Parks were sufficiently worn out. Mission accomplished!
Dylan and I celebrated our birthdays together.
Here we are enjoying some cake batter. Thanks for the bunny ears Ashley!
Thanks for the cake Mom and Linds!
Can you believe I am 7 years older than him??!
Full tummies make happy babies!
It was a fun trip! It was a typical family vacation. We played hours and hours of games, did some shopping and hit our favorite restaurants!! Yum. We also took the kiddos to  How to Train Your Dragon. It was super cute. We will own it for sure!
It was so great to be all together before Dylan and Ashley head to Iowa. It will be a painful separation for Kaitlyn I'm afraid. She adores her cousin Parks. We will all miss you guys! Good Luck!

Cutest Mommy Ever!

Isn't she though? My little sister is so cute pregnant. She will soon be a mommy! What a lucky little guy!

Here she is on the FLOOR playing.  Kaitlyn absolutely adores her Aunt Lindsey and loves to play with her. Kaity is of course not aware of how uncomfortable the floor must be for her playmate, who doesn't complain, just sits and smiles. Ahhhhhh, love you sis, you are the best!
