U2 360!

We had such an AWESOME night at the U2 concert!! It was intense! The Fray opened! We couldn't have asked for anyone else. We love The Fray, we saw them at USANA a few years ago and have been wanting to see them again. It was a perfect night!

The stage (the claw) was HUGE. Very spectacular. It was like fireworks after dark.
We saw my die hard U2 fan cousins there!! Kip and Amy from Boise and Kyle and his girlfriend who live here in SLC. It was so crazy to see them! I remember they would always have U2 playing when I was little. I got my first taste at their house.

After loving them for 20 something years, this was my first time seeing them live. It was a milestone for sure. They did not disappoint and sound awesome live. It is so cool to actually feel the beat of your favorite songs vibrate through your whole body.
Markham surprised me with the tickets last year for my birthday, but then it was canceled. Huge Bummer! A year later, it was worth the wait.

Thanks for taking me to see U2 babe! It was epic!

Where oh where

I was planning on taking pictures of the flowers my wonderful mother helped me pick out and plant. Thanks Mom!! We planted a bunch of stuff, and I am so happy. I also have 3 pots that are doing so well! I have always had terrible luck with this stuff, apparently I wasn't giving them sufficient water. The sprinklers alone were not getting it done. So I have a new chore, but I much enjoy it.

However, I have been unable to take said pictures because my little son has hidden my camera charger. It has been missing since we got back from St. George. I know it is here somewhere, only Jack knows where. I have conducted a thorough investigation but all leads have gone cold. This is when it would be nice to have a camera that eats batteries. So (big sigh) I can't take any pictures of flowers or anything.

In other news, Markham and I are gearing up for the U2 concert tomorrow!!!! There are not words  to adequately describe my excitement. Dear Black Clouds hovering around-- please go away for awhile, we have had enough rain, thank you.

And the most exciting news, we booked a cruise!! We haven't been on a big kiddo-free trip since our Honeymoon, way too long. It isn't until November, a long time, but it will make me love fall that much more! It will also be fun to look forward to. So all you cruisers out there, any tips?? This is our first time! We are going to the western Caribbean, any fun excursions?  Please tell!

Sunny St. George

We spent the last week of April in St. George with my family, sibs and all. It was a lot of fun. It feels like St. George should be in Arizona. I heard my sister-in-law tell someone she was from Logan, Utah. I had to giggle because I do the same thing. It just doesn't feel like Utah. With it's palm trees, warm weather and red cliffs, it's definitely different.

While it was snowing in Salt Lake, we were playing and lounging poolside in the sun. It was perfect.
Looks like we spent a day on Mars, but really it's Sand Hollow Reservoir, about 20 minutes from St. George. The kiddos had a lot of fun and managed to get red sand everywhere.
We played hours and hours of board games, played Just Dance on the Wii, went out to eat and shopped. It was a pretty typical vacation for us. Ashley and I got pedicures together, a must for total and complete pampering. SO nice.

Thanks Mom and Monte for putting up with us all week! We had a blast!
