Time out for Women!!

A few of my favorite girls and I spent the weekend in Idaho Falls at "Time out for Women."
Yes, it was just in Layton last month but how could we justify an overnight stay? By driving 3 hours!!
It was so so so fun, uplifting, powerful and just fabulous!!

We attended the conference, shopped, went out to eat, stayed up way way late, laughed, cried, ate an incredible amount of chocolate and were just silly. Cassie and I talked with a British accent practically the entire time. Oh we had a fabulous time darling!!
A few of my favorite messages--

We always make "To Do" Lists, try making a "To Be" List.
An Instrument in the Lord's hands' is an Angel- Be someone's angel.

Being a disciple of Christ means being a student and an apprentice- it requires action = serving others.
Worshipping Christ is transformative. We Become like Him.

Thanks girls for a truly wonderful time!!

St Patrick's Day with the O'Carrolls

So I kinda love St. Patrick's Day because way back in the way back- Carroll used to be O'Carroll! I think that is just so fun. That means the kids are a tiny bit Irish?! Yep!! I am going with it.

The Leprechaun turned our milk green and left green pee in our toilets! Man of man it was pretty exciting to discover this. After school we frosted shamrock cookies and ate a ton of frosting. Addie was napping, otherwise she would have smeared it all over in her hair.
Good times

Morning walks with Addie

I really really love getting out and walking. The weather has just been awesome. Me and Addie go after breakfast while Kaitlyn and Jackson are at school. It's really good for me. I always feel refreshed after.
My little buddy looks annoyed here but she is a really good sport. She talks and points out birds and cats along the way. She waves and says"hi" to all we pass and sometimes she falls asleep. What a cutie.

Mom's Birthday

We spent the weekend in Idaho with my family celebrating Mom's birthday. We had a great time! She loves horses so the kiddos had the idea to put little plastic horses on her cake. Pretty funny. We went bowling, had a BBQ, enjoyed some beautiful weather and played games

cousins and best friends
Always good times at the homestead!

My Adorable Little Foodie

Kaitlyn loves everything to do with cooking and baking. SHOCKING I know. She does not get this from me. The only reason I cook is to keep my family from starving or going broke eating out every meal. Now, I will say the Kitchen Aid has been kind of entertaining. Baking can be fun because of the finished product I guess.

Anyhow she loves watching the Food Network. We have watched shows like Top Chef, Chopped, Teen Chopped, Food Network Star, Iron Chef, Cutthroat Kitchen, Pioneer Women, The Barefoot Contessa, etc. etc.  The list goes on and on. I will find her cuddled up with her blanket watching how to make the perfect souffle or something crazy. Shocking that she is my daughter. But she most certainly is. I was there. Ha!

Anyway--Markham surprised her and I with tickets to see Alton Brown for Valentines' Day. Markham is super good at surprises and Kaity was so excited she nearly burst into tears!!  I am just so happy this is what gets her excited and not Justin Bieber. Phew!! Hopefully it last until she's around 20.

Her and I had an absolutely fantastic time. He is a very very funny and entertaining man. His show was awesome and hearing Kaitlyn giggle and laugh so hard made my day.

He shared 4 things with us--

1-Chickens don't have fingers
2- Trout don't belong in ice cream
3-Don't forget the NaCl
4-NEVER eat a shrimp cocktail in an airport

He had the most hilarious story to go with each one. We were dying.
The second half of the show he made ice cream in 10 seconds with his "Jet Cream Machine" and then he made a pizza in 3 minutes on his giant Easy Bake Oven- "The MEGA BAKE"
WOW! What a show!
After the show our date wasn't complete. We were starving!! I asked Kaity where she wanted to go, her reply? Texas Roadhouse! She loves steak. Now there's my girl!
After only a 20 minute wait, we had a fun time sipping soda. devouring warm bread and cinnamon butter and perfectly cooked steak!
Love you Kaity Pie! I had a great time with you!
