Last few days in Utah

It was an emotionally wrenching last few weeks in Utah. I never thought we would ever leave our home close to family and friends in the Wasatch front. But such is life. It certainly hasn't been the only big plot twist in this girl's life. I've learned to never say never. Life is an adventure. Sometimes its fun and thrilling and sometimes its heartbreaking and terrifying.
It was hard to leave Grandma and Grandpa.
And the Wittwers
But the movers came and packed us up anyway.
Kaitlyn and Jackson were at school so Addie and I just hung around the house while our things were packed into the truck. It was a weird day. Mariann, Ashlee and Erin, three of my dear friends stopped by individually and surprised me with a diet coke, black licorice and lunch. Friends like that are hard to find. I love them dearly and will miss them like crazy.
The pup didn't know what to think
After a very teary goodbye at the Wittwers we were on our way to the airport.
 Waiting for our flight.
Boarding the plane
Ready for take-off!
We made it to Dallas! It was warm and sunny.
Next stop- our temporary apartment for the next 30 days.

Last Dance Comp with RWDS

One of the hardest goodbyes was to dance friends and coaches at RWDS. Man oh man tough stuff.
The last competition was super emotional.

Pep talk with Bradi before the performance.
These girls were such a great team and danced beautifully together.

Dallas or Bust

Well it looks like our next chapter will begin in TEXAS.  Markham took an awesome job in Dallas and we are headed down.

We spent a weekend there looking for a home. My mom came and watched the kids. Bless her. She was great to help. She is not a fan of the relocation.

This was the plan for day one. We saw 14 homes that day.
We were well rested and fresh and full of hope. Look at us. We look happy!
We had 2 more full days like this and it was emotional and totally exhausting.
I cried more than once. It was hard.

Our agent was great though and kept things light. Our favorite house was not the same one. Bummer.  He joked that he was part marital counselor. Haha! No kidding.

We also had some bad news while there. Our agent called and said our contract in Utah had fallen through so we weren't really able to make a strong offer on anything in Texas. Especially since the market is so competitive. That put a damper on things but we did our best and scouted areas and looked at about 40 homes. We enjoyed some really good food and visited with Brian and Michelle and that was fun.

I flew home alone. Markham stayed to start his job. He took me into the airport and helped me find where I needed to go. I sobbed on his shoulder. I was that lady in the airport with mascara running down my face.

Man oh man, this stuff is not for the weak of heart.

Team Pizza Party!!

Moving is tough.
The hardest thing about leaving is moving away from family, but a close second is leaving all these cute friends Kaitlyn has danced with the last few years.
Tears were shed.

Logan

We drove to Logan one more time before we head to Texas. Logan will always hold a special place in my heart. Visiting was bittersweet. Not sure when we'll be back.
We watched Parker play basketball and visited with Ashley. Man I miss that girl. Her baby boy is adorable for sure. Lindsey was swooning all over him. She's hoping to have one more soon. I guess that's how you know you are past that stage. He was cute but I don't want one. haha
 Cousins and best friends.
They are planning on coming down to Dallas this summer to visit.
Fingers crossed! We would love that.
 The Bluebird.
 Best Buds.
Where this whole thing started - roommates at Oakridge.
Look how far we've come.
Driving down Main Street heading out of town, my eyes got misty and I fought tears, but they rolled down my cheeks anyway.
