Joy in the Journey

Here are a few cute pictures I couldn't let get away.
The kiddos on Easter Sunday. Girls in Pink, Jackson of course in his favorite color- purple. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Watson!!
My little Spiderman
Kaitlyn's teeth are finally falling out!
Adelyn loves to paint herself with markers. She's a little too young for make-up.
Jackson ready to go to preschool. He loves Ms. Heather.

We recently thought seriously about moving closer to slc, a bigger house, etc. We even had our house on the market. YUCK. Selling a house is no fun. Then we realized we love where we live. We love our neighborhood, we love our ward, we love the schools. We thought if we love it here why leave? I think that means we are staying put for awhile. A bigger house someday, but this house we will always treasure for the memories of our young family. Kaity turned 2 here. We brought Jackson and Adelyn home here as sweet babies. We aren't in a rush to leave.

Girls' Day!

Kaitlyn had a dance competition in Taylorsville this weekend. We carpooled with friends and left the Dads at home. Markham had all kinds of outside projects in mind, but it ended up raining all day. Bummer. Our grass is getting a little unsightly. Kaitlyn was a little sad to not have him there but we had a lot of fun just us girls.

I love to watch Kaity dance. I catch myself getting misty. I'm afraid she is growing up faster than I like.

Her team did so well, they took 1st place for all 3 dances! They were so excited.

After the competition we had an early dinner at Kneaders in Bountiful. YUM! I forgot how good it is. We didn't forget Markham, Jacks and Addie and got 2 giant ooey gooey cinnamon rolls to go.
It was a treat to enjoy the day with Kaitlyn and just focus on her. It doesn't happen very often.

A few cute quotes mixed with ramble

I am a bit disenchanted with the system I currently have to use to upload pictures to this blog. My computer will not recognize my phone, where all my pictures are. Using a real camera is for people who have nice ones or for people who remember to use the one they have. I am not either so I email blog worthy pictures from my phone to myself and then upload them to this blog. Way too complcated. What is this frazzled mom to do when all she wants is to immortalize a few fleeting memories from her children's lives? Ugh. write some wordy monologue I guess.

Anyway I digress. I need to record a cute thing Jackson said today. We were on our way back from dropping Miss. Kate at school and we were waving at the cows in the field. Jackson said, "Cows can't wave because they don't have arms, they just have legs."  He said it so matter of factly, as if he was making a new discovery. I love that kid. He makes me laugh all day long. He claims he doesn't want to grow up, he wants to stay little so he can cuddle me. Pretty cute. Someday I will bawl because it has happened. I tell him he can always cuddle me and he says, "Not when I am a daddy, that's just weird."

Yesterday I dragged him and Addie out shopping with me. He was such a little gentleman and pushed his baby sister around in the umbrella stroller like a champ. The wheels kept getting locked and he would say, "I hate these wheels, they are so stupid!" It made me giggle a little and I didn't rush to help him, he was handling it. He kept repeating with an intermingled, "Ugh these stupid wheels!" He was a good sport. I did help him- he didn't suffer too much to the lady who walked by and gave me a look. Mind your business lady. Anyway we got home and he and Addie enjoyed a few mini white powdered doughnuts. I had a handful of pistachios. Ugh. Not as good.

Addie is currently enjoying a dum-dum and getting it all over herself, the walls and the carpet. gotta run.

Buckets of Fun

The kiddos are loving the nice weather and are clocking a lot of time on the new playset.
Addie is LOVING her bucket swing. She would sit in it all day if I let her. When I try and get her out she scrunches down inside like a little turtle. It's pretty cute, but it does make it tough to get her out!
Her big brother=her favorite playmate.

Fun with Grandma and Grandpa Carroll

Markham's parents came for a visit last week. We had a lot of fun with them.
Adelyn loved hanging out with Grandpa.
Jackson was excited to show them his mad soccer skills.
He played very well under pressure and made his first goal!!
Hooray!!!

32

Markham is 32. As he's coming to terms, I only wish I was 32. No matter how old he gets, I will always be 4 years older. ugh. Let's not dwell.

We had a fun night. We went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings with our dear friends, The Larsens. Afterwards we came home and had ice cream cake from DQ. Poor little Adelyn was sacked out already. All the fun at dinner wore her out.
The torch atop his cake was a "32" written with candles. He wouldn't let me put 32 actual candles on it, I guess we are that old now.

The kiddos still thought it was pretty great.

 My two clowns being silly.
The kiddos and I threw this candy gram together after we got home from dinner. We had collected all the candy earlier that day at the store and had some good ideas but hadn't had time to put it together yet. We locked ourselves in the kids room and pulled it off quick! I was proud of us!
Happy Birthday Mard! Thanks for being so awesome!
We love ya. xoxoxoxox
