Congrats Matt and Emma!

We saw this cute couple tie the knot in the LA Temple over the weekend. The kiddos stayed in Idaho with my parents, it was so nice!  We were really able to just sit back and enjoy it all.

We had a great time just relaxing, it was so nice
We really got down and made fools of ourselves. We kept saying, "Let's do it for the kids" We are such dorks. But we had a lot of fun ;)
What an awesome day, everything was perfect! Way to go guys! We love ya!

Family Reunion 2011

We had a family reunion in Idaho over the weekend. It was a fun filled time of chatting, eating, laughing, and playing in the water. (Markham and I are still recovering from our savage beating of a tube ride.)

I haven't seen many of these cute people in the flesh for YEARS. Way too long. When we were kids, we had so much fun playing together, it's just so crazy that now our kiddos are playing. It made me smile.
We took our Vegas cousins to the county fair. It is very novel for city folk to see big ole' huge blue ribbon cows and fat stinky pigs, so we had to indulge them. We all enjoyed some incredibly greasy and ridiculously yummy fair food, yum.  Good times.

Project!

Every once in awhile I just need a project around the house, a fun one, other than laundry, cleaning bathrooms, and dishes. So I decided the pantry door should be black. Markham thought I had totally lost my mind. I told him he would just have to trust me and headed to Lowe's for all the supplies.

I decided to do the inside too

At this point, I wan't digging the trim. I had carefully taped it off to keep it white, but it just looked bad, so... I painted the trim too.
Wow, finally done and I love it! Oh, and Markham approves ;)

There's No Place Like the Beach!

We were lucky enough to spend 10 days in sunny southern California visiting Markham's family. It is so beautiful down there. With day time temps that never drop below 60, even in winter--it's basically paradise.  It is a little sickening to think in a couple of months it will be winter here again, ewwwww.

Anyway, we had so much fun. We wore the kiddos out every day. Markham's parents spoiled us and fed us so well I am sure I gained a few pounds, eeeeek. It was fun to catch up with everyone. The kiddos had a blast playing with cousins.

Never too young for surf lessons. Cousin Mason giving Jacks some pointers.
Can't you just hear Markham saying, "What do you think?"
He loved it
Jacks yelled at the waves as if he had the power to summon them

Kaity and Jacks with cousin Derek playing in the sand

It was so great. I was thinking we could go back December thru May.

Splash Zone

We had fun at a splash pad at Lake Skinner, a place Markham worked in high school. He had to show the kiddos the docks where he used to rent out boats back in those days. It was quite a trip down memory lane.
Kaity being the awesome big sister that she is, holding Jack's hand while they played.

The cousins Derek and Aaron. Aaron is the one getting soaked!

Professor Pennypickle

While in California, me and Jen took Kaity and Derek to The Pennypickle Children's Museum. It was so cute and fun! Markham stayed home with Jacks, so it was a rare treat to have one-on-one time with my Kaity. We had a lot of fun and shared a root beer float afterwards.

Happy 2 years Jacks!!

It can't believe my baby is 2! He is such a little cutie. He makes me giggle and melts my heart all day long. He is so funny and is saying new words every day. He is very polite and makes sure anyone who sneezes gets a "bless you."

He is a little chatterbox and repeats everything Kaity says.  He is so fascinated by everything she does and follows her around like a little shadow. When he can't find her he shrugs his shoulders, holds his arms out and says, "where's kaity?"  He is lucky to have such an awesome big sister.

He loves throwing balls, climbing, running around and getting filthy dirty--such a boy. He is a tough kid! At his 2 year well visit, he had to get a shot. I hate shots, and feel so mean holding the kiddos down for them. I was really impressed, because he didn't even whimper! What a champ!

I feel so lucky to be this little guy's mommy. Happy bday my little man!
