Pero's visit

Mariann and Kevin came for a visit. We're lucky to have friends who are willing to make the journey down here! We had a lot of fun and ate a lot of yummy food. Hutchins BBQ, Gloria's Mexican and Torchy's Tacos! 

Jackson's Birthday!!

My Jackson is 13! Oh my goodness. I can't think about it too hard. 

He's such a funny and easy going kiddo. He was my most content baby. He was happy to sit and coo in his bouncy chair while I made dinner or sit in his highchair and snack on cherrios. Patience isn't a virtue I possess, so the credit on this one all goes to Markham. What a joyful little guy he was.  He's still a joy! So much fun to hang out with. Shopping trips are a lot of fun when he comes with me, still my buddy just bigger now. He loves to play the xbox, learn new algorithms on his cube and read. Addie adores him and they have a lot of fun together. He's aways been an awesome older brother. He's sensitive and caring and thinks about others. He makes me proud. Love you bud!

 

This is a pretty impressive display, right?! But this is not our house or his yard sign. Haha! It was the neighbors house a block away. They have a Jackson who shares the same birthday. We couldn't resist snapping a pic. Too perfect! We laughed about it. He was a great sport about it.

He always requests Red Velvet cake. My favorite from my childhood. My mom would make it for me from scratch. I'm happy to make it for Jacks. Nothing better.

Road Trip to Utah!

Here we go! Cooler is packed! Gas tank is full! 

Albuquerque or bust! 10 hours to go!

4 Corners stop 

We made it to Aunt Lindsey's and were so excited to see the cousins! Knox is getting so big!

Early the next morning we hit the mountains with the Booth's!!

After just a couple days in Layton we made our way down to St. George. We stopped in Lehi to see our best Logan roommate bestie Lindsey aka Pony.

 

Here we are 15 years later! Look at all those children!!

Cousins are the best!

We had the best time!! Oh man we love our people!!

 It always goes too fast. Before we knew it, we were back on the road. Thankfully the kids are excellent travelers. No trouble crashing out. 

We had to do a detour to the Grand Canyon. Even though we had a 20 hour drive, it felt mandatory. 

The kids really enjoyed it and were glad we stopped. #worthit

We made it home! First stop, Buccee's!
