Valentine's Day with a POLAR VORTEX

Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday this year, which was perfect. We had a blast at home together.
It snowed!!
The kids enjoyed their traditional mailboxes filled with goodies.
They were pumped to find a gift card to Disneyworld for our spring break trip!!!
SO EXCITED!!
It was so SUPER cold, (8 degrees!) but they had to get out there and play in it.
They have the best Dad around.

....all while pork slow cooked in the crockpot.
Snow day to remember!
Temperatures dropped to historic lows over the next few days. It went sub zero at night! It caused a lot of damage and a lot of people lost electricity for several days. The schools closed for the week. We only lost power for one day in a rolling outage to try and take pressure off the system. We were pretty close to a serious disaster. The power grid was close to a complete melt down which would have left all of us without power for a month! Thankfully that didn't happen.
Our best Cafe Rio dupe. It was so good!
We love you kiddos!! Had so much fun with y'all today!  xoxoxox
