Sunday Best!

"Hi Mom! All ready to go!"
Sunday is Markham's day to get Kaitlyn ready for the day and dressed for church. As you can see he does a phenomenal job!

Kaitlyn is wearing her new sandals!! She is fascinated by them. Uh-oh...I am afraid she is like her mommy that way.

I am not sure what is going on in this picture.

Church wears her out....Sunday afternoon is great for naps, even for Mommy and Daddy.

Me and My Great Grandma

Here is Kaitlyn with her Great Grandma. Ida. We were able to spend a few days at Grandma's house last weekend. It was so nice to be able to visit.
Kaity warmed up to Grandma and decided she was pretty neat.

Day at the Zoo!

We took Kaitlyn to the Zoo a couple of days ago. I think we had more fun than she did. She was a little hard to read. She was working pretty hard to take it all in. The highlight of the day was the white Alligator!!
A White Alligator?!! What? They are super rare and this guy has blue eyes! He is at the Hogle Zoo visiting. He will not be staying forever, so I am glad we were able to see him.

It was pretty hot and sunny so we made sure we all had sunsceen on.

We watched a really cool bird show. Kaity was pretty impressed by a flock of doves that flew right above our heads!

Giraffe Barn?!

I thougt my parents would appreciate this one. I don't know why, but I couldn't stop giggling about this giraffe barn.

This one is a baby!!
Enjoying his dinner.

More Zoo....

Here we are checking out the camels and their wacky humps.

It was a super hot day and most of the animals were pretty much not into putting on a show, particularly this guy.

Enjoying some time with Daddy.

This Bear was Kaity's favorite animal without question. She was very intrigued by him. She watched him very closely. When he walked around, she kicked her legs and flapped her arms.

I tried to capture the enthusiasm, but not so much.

Fun in the Sun in Burley!

We went to Burley for the weekend....always a good time. We played on the water and laid on the grass. We missed you Lindsey & Jake and Dylan & Ashley!!
Mom and I enjoying the day. It was a hot one and the water felt great!!
Markham took me out and totally threw me off...several times. You would think I'd learn. It was fantastic. I haven't been able to get crazy on these things since before I was pregnant with Kaity. It is as fun as I remember.
Kaity and her Daddy share a moment

This is Kaitlyn's first experience with grass. She wasn't too sure what to think about it.

Markham mixing it up out there.

Markham trying to get us wet!! He wasn't nearly as successful as he thinks.

Good Morning!!

Kaity has learned how to push the bumper down and peek out of her crib. When I go into her room in the morning this is how she greets me.

She is a happy girl in the mornings. Who did she get that from?

Mom, get me out of here!!

Look what I can do!

This is Kaity's new thing. She enjoys showing off her new skill whenever possible.

What a little poser!!

A perfect ledge to gum!

Little Aggie!

Kaitlyn can finally wear her Aggie t-shirt!! It was a gift from a friend of mine when I was still pregnant with her. Long time coming. Thanks...lovin' it!!

Curious Kate

Kaitlyn is so curious! She especially loves checking out everything in the kitchen.

She was very intrigued by the reflection she saw in the fridge. She paused here for quite some time.
This thing is so fascintating! I just can't figure it out.
What is going on underneath it?
This is a No No, but Kaity doesn't let that get in her way.

Happy Birthday America!

Kaitlyn saw her first firework show in Provo at Stadium of Fire. I was really worried about her freaking out because of the noise, but she had no fear! She really enjoyed it.

Hop on Pop!! Kaitlyn really enjoys crawling all over us these days.

What is Geocaching?!

So...Markham's parents introduced us to this crazy sport. It is a lot of fun. The one thing you need to have to be a cacher phenom is a GPS system. You program in coordinates of a hidden cache (which you find on geocaching.com), and the hunt is on!! This particular cache was a 3 parter. Here is Markham finding the first one!! Got it!!!

Here is the "cache" They can be a variety of sizes and types. They are basically empty canisters filled with little trinkets (aka junk) and most importantly a little sign in sheet so you can sign your name.

This cache was unique because inside was the coordinates to another cache. So we programmed it into out little GPS and off we went.

Markham is leading the way.........to be continued.

Bath time!!

Kaitlyn loves bath time... and I love it too. It wears her out for bed time! She has become such a great sleeper. She goes down around 9pm and sleeps until 9am!! 12 hours of precious free time for Mommy!! Thanks Kaity, keep it up.

In this picture Kaity is explaining how the drain operates...it was very informational.

She is intrigued by the poof. She can't quite figure it out
