Passing of a Prophet

President Gordon B. Hinckley
1910-2008
When I learned that our dear Prophet had passed, my eyes stung and my throat burned as tears began to fall. He was such an awesome man, truly a Prophet of God. It is bittersweet. Though we will miss him dearly, he is reunited with his sweet wife Marjorie and is finally getting some rest! The impact of his life, example, service and love will last forever.

No Longer on Vacation!

Things at our place are pretty lame compared to our fun filled holiday. Markham is studying for the first section of the CPA exam as if his very life depended on it. The poor guy is busy at work, then comes home only to plant himself at the kitchen table for a vigorous study sesh. He's such a hard worker and makes me so proud. I wrote a little Ode to Mard- Here it goes:

Eveyone who is a CPA can say
Studying for that beast robs you many a day

For my husband, who is the best
This thing is a severe pest!

He gets up so early
Even on our vacations to Burley!

Works, studies and reads
A break he badly needs!

He will take the first section in a few days
His mind must be like a maze!

Then he will need to take 3 more
Oh, my heart is sore!

Tax season is quickly coming!
That schedule is positively numbing!

Endurance is the key
Surely we will see.

Kaitlyn is 15 months old!!!

My little bean sprout turned 15 months old on the 20th! I can't even believe it. She still has only 4 teeth. The 2 on the bottom and her two vampire teeth on top. However, her front teeth must be mounting all their best efforts because her little gums are red and swollen. Her little tummy looks a bit swollen these days too!

Settin' up Camp

My parents gave Kaitlyn a little tent for Christmas, complete with a sleeping bag and flashlight, they don't mess around!! So Markham decided to put it up for Kaity to play in. I am guessing she can do it herself next time, judging from all the help she provided.

It looks so cozy in there, it's making me want to curl up and take a nap!
Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!! I love my new tent!

HAPPY 2008!!

We celebrated the New Year with family at home. It was fun. We played games until almost 3am----crazy fools!!
Having a little New Year's kiss. We didn't plan to match, I promise! The boys enjoying some Henry Weinhard's. Dylan was especially excited because he had gone without soda for an entire year! (last year's resolution) What a weirdo!!

Keepin' herself busy!

Kaitlyn is getting lots of use out of her new toys!Cleaning up the floor
Reading her new books
Crazy behind the wheel.... we are in trouble!"Piggy Bank" was a huge hit! Thanks everyone for all the fun toys!! We love you!
