Halloween!

We had a really fun Halloween despite Covid. We weren't even sure people would be out trick-or-treating or even if they were, if we should be. What a crazy time we are living in. Cases continue to increase, but most of our friends and family have given up strict measures. Which isn't ideal I realize. We aren't sure what we should be doing. The kids are back at school and dance and sports so we felt like Halloween wasn't anymore exposure than we are already having. Markham is still working from home though. Which he has really enjoyed.
Kaitlyn and her cute friend Mia went as ghostbusters.
This family loves Halloween!
Jackson was Skull Trooper from Fortnite, Addie was Uma from Descendants, Markham was the Burger King and I was just a leopard. Kinda felt like I was copping out but it was just a weird year and I didn't go full out.
Jackson loves to do the Orange Justice. He cracks me up.
Because of Covid, but mainly because it was just fun and different, Markham constructed a "candy shoot" from a pvc pipe that he meticulously taped with black duct tape. We attached it to the stair railing and wrapped lights around it. It was a hit with the kids. The perfect example of social distancing trick-or-treating! haha
We decided to paint pumpkins instead of carve them. It was genius! I was so impressed with the kiddos creations.
Wyatt came over to go trick-or-treating with Jackson. I think they had more fun shooting candy down the shoot to the kiddos.
The King and I. Haha
This was the Halloween drive-thru at Whitt. In a normal year, the school would have had a fall carnival. We were sad about that. It is always a lot of fun. Even Kaitlyn and her friends have a great time running around. Covid has ruined most things this year. I am impressed with the efforts the school has made to help the kiddos have fun amid the pandemic.
I didn't know quite what to expect this year but it ended up being really fun. We walked the neighborhood with the Romero's, collected a ton of candy and ate a lot of sugar. lol. In that way it was a pretty normal year. Haha. There were a lot of kiddos out and about. It felt really good.
