So this was us and it was WILD. A tornado touched down just 3 miles from us. It was terrifying and surreal. We've had storms and been on watch before but this was the first time we huddled in the innermost bathroom of the house. Yikes.
Thankfully we made it through without any damage. It missed us, but there were some houses just a few miles away that were hit and destroyed.
Texas has its drawbacks. Besides being 1200 miles from family of course.
Markham's office was hit and badly damaged.... so he worked from home all week. It was so great! We took the pup on walks, went out for breakfast, and enjoyed being together. The kiddos loved it too. We surprised them with takeout at lunch.

These 2 cute friends are in the 4th grade book club at the library. They just finished Coraline and are now reading Holes for next month.

I'm also loving teaching for VIPkid!
It's really picking up. I'm teaching a few classes every day, M-F and already have some regular students! Nothing beats working in my sweats at home!
