HoLiDaY CheeR!

Kaity and Parker built "candy houses" together and had a blast! I think the engineers of said houses (the moms) did a poor job. In only a few hours, their beautiful masterpieces were in shambles.

Some Interesting Stats

Well, out of 100, 4 month old baby boys, there are only 10 who are as big, or bigger than my son. I am 5'2 and Markham is 5'10. The doctor asked me what the post man looked like.

But Jackson is definitely Markham's son, he has the signature widow's peak, it's just hard to see because all 100 said boys have more hair. His Grandpa calls him "Wilson" because his head is so round, bald and white.

I just love those chubby cheeks! I kiss em' all day long!!

We got so much snow!! It was a big job to shovel it all away. Markham was happy to have some company....and entertainment.

Thanksgiving in Park City

We had a lot of fun in Park City with Markham's parents, grandma, brothers, and cousins. It was great to catch up with everyone. We were there for a week, it was so so nice!

State of Madness

Kaitlyn is going nuts....stir crazy. She is better, but now Jackson is sick. So we are staying in....again, still. Except for yet another Dr. visit! WOW, I feel a little crazy too. But lil' Jacks is still smiling and that makes me happy.

Has anyone seen New Moon yet?? I am dying to see it!

Silver Lining, But More Like Camel

Well, it is the 18th and we are finally feeling better. We all got sick, in varying degrees and at different times, it has been fun. I seriously feel like some kind of vampire. I haven't been out in the sunlight except to take sick kiddos to the Dr. and to get more Tylenol. Thank goodness for online shopping, it has provided some comfort. I spent an embarrassing amount of time on-line searching for a new purse for Christmas because I can never have too many purses. And then I decided I needed a new coat so I was shopping for one of those too, since I have spent all fall inside and sick I thought I should prepare myself for winter. I picked a very cute and very warm, puffy, camel colored down jacket with a furry hood, it's synthetic, don't worry. I did whine a little to Markham that I needed the coat before Christmas because the cold wasn't going to wait for Christmas. I wasn't really thinking he would cave. But I did have a point....and I am so over my other coats. He said, "It is a Christmas present, you have to wait." Then, the other day, he brought a big box home, and told me to open it. I was not sure what it was, I have a number of things coming in the mail. I opened it, to find my new coat!!! I was a little confused, since I was sure I wouldn't see it until 12- 25. (Warning....sappy)

Markham: I want you to have it now.

Me: No, no Babe, it is a Christmas present. You can wrap it and I will wait. It is for Christmas.

Markham: No, I want you to have it now. It is not a Christmas present, it is a "I love you" present. It is for being a great mom. We have all been sick, including you, but you took care of all of us and you deserve it.

...and this is one of the many reasons why I love Markham, I am sure I don't deserve him. But I so love him.

My Special Brand of Irony

I am the mom you see in the grocery store scrubbing down the cart with antibacterial wipes. I am the mom who doesn't go anywhere without hand sanitizer. I am the mom who thoroughly washes her kiddo's hands when we get home. And to NO AVAIL......Kaitlyn has H1N1.

It is AWFUL NASTY stuff. She woke up Thursday morning with a fever of 103, which peaked at 103.9 Even on Motrin, it didn't drop below 102. I took her to the Dr. only to sit in the waiting room with other poor souls with the same symptoms. She is on Tamiflu...I hope it will be short lived and I hope poor Jacks has a killer immune system.

Oh, and we waited in line on Tuesday to get the H1N1 vaccination.....it takes 8-10 days to work.....awesome.

Carroll Spooktacular 2009!!

The Annual Carroll "Spook" was a lot of fun this year. The attendees were as follows:

Hermione and Harry showed up together. Shhh....don't tell Ron. Uniqua, from The Backyardigans, was adorable and had a lot of fun. I was super happy Spongebob didn't show up.

Bumblebee took a break from battling the Decepticons to come to the party. He and Uniqua were quite a pair.

A motocross champ and his cheerleader came together. He had just came from quite a race...thank goodness she was there to cheer him to victory.

A couple of tourists showed up with their map....apparently the Carroll Spooktacular is becoming quite the tourist trap.

Sonny and Cher made an appearance. And they were ALL over each other....wow.

A crazed mad scientist posing as a doctor showed up. It was a little awkward because he had blood all over his lab jacket...apparently he didn't mind us knowing he had just committed a savage crime.

And last, but certainly not least, the Butterfly and the Bull rider. What a strange couple!
