Working full time is kinda hard
So I've been a stay at home mom for 16 years and it was great. Really, really great.
I was ready for something, right. I mean I wanted this right? lol
Oh my goodness am I exhausted. I know why they try and get teachers so excited for the start of the year. It is grueling. I started 3 weeks before the kids getting ready, attending trainings. etc. But I was doomed before I started because Holly and I weren't able to get into the portable right away so I lost valuable set up time. I also needed to move all the art supplies from the stage to the portable and then organize it all, all while keeping mind of the inventory so I could make a supply order, but first I needed to look at lesson plans in order to know what I would even need for the art projects in my curriculum. Ugh. It was overwhelming and I worked a ton of hours.
Addie and I went for a pedicure. It was so fun and felt amazing.
Awwww. Let's do this more often.

First Day of School 2023-2024
This is Kaitlyn's junior year! OMG. I can't believe it.
Addie is in 5th grade!
Jackson is in 8th!
Bus stop buddies. Makes me smile.
With me teaching I can't drive the kiddos to school anymore.
Jackson tried the bus last year while I was subbing and he actually liked it.
He has a couple friends who ride it too. Addie does too. Makes my mom heart so relieved.

Mrs. Carroll- My teaching era!
I'm super excited to be the Art teacher at Whitt! After subbing for 2 years and pretty much teaching more than not, I decided to make it official and go for full time! I loved long term subbing Art while Whitnie was on Maternity leave and and since she decided to teach 1st grade, there was an opportunity to teach Art full time so I went for it! Yay!
At the convocation! A big party to get everyone amped up!
It was fun!
Holly, my portable pal.
She is hilarious and her laugh and energy are so contagious!
She's such a fun person and keeps things light.
First Day!
I'm having the kids help me decorate! All 800 of them will decorate a leaf to add to the art forest.
Yay! So excited to see it all leafed out.
Holly is right next door! Love her.
I'll keep you posted! xoxo-mrs carroll
