Busy...

It has been busy around here!!

Kaitlyn had a dance competition last weekend and we had to be there- hair and make-up all ready to go- at 7am! We were the first team to compete. Yikes!! This is the stuff of nightmares. We are an hour away so we decided to stay in a hotel only 5 minutes away. Such a wonderful plan. On our way down Friday night, we grabbed a delicious bite at In-N-Out. YUM. We checked into the hotel and got ready to swim. One of Addie's floaties kept losing air. Dang it. We still had a great time. Addie jumped into the pool like a gazillion times, almost hit her head on the side of the pool at least 3 times. Phew! Stress city. After we were all worn out we headed back to the room and took showers and settled in for the night....except Adelyn. She was gibbering and wanting to cuddle until at least midnight. She kept saying it was "too dark" and she was "scared." Luckily everyone slept through it until she finally fell asleep in our bed and then I very carefully transferred her to the pack n play.

A few hours later at 4:45am I got up, a little anxious about getting Kaitlyn's hair perfect, as usual. You can't see it but there is a french braid going up into her bun in the back. Holy cow people!! I am not a professional hair person! Dance moms are expected to have major skills!! And then top it off with Kaity's ridiculously sensitive head and it's a perfect storm worthy of a xanax. But thankfully, everything went well and we even had time to grab a leisurely breakfast in the hotel lobby. That was nice.

Her team did great and are so adorable. I am always so proud of her. They work so hard. My favorite is lyrical. I tear up every single time.

A few days later, my parents came through on their way home from St. George and wanted to go to J&J Nursery. Giddy up!! I love that place! I got a bunch of flowers and filled up my pots ♥  They make me happy.

We also got a few fruit trees and need to plant them soon. An apple, peach and plum. YUM!! Can't hardly wait until they start growing some fruit.
