Well, it is the 18th and we are finally feeling better. We all got sick, in varying degrees and at different times, it has been fun. I seriously feel like some kind of vampire. I haven't been out in the sunlight except to take sick kiddos to the Dr. and to get more Tylenol. Thank goodness for online shopping, it has provided some comfort. I spent an embarrassing amount of time on-line searching for a new purse for Christmas because I can never have too many purses. And then I decided I needed a new coat so I was shopping for one of those too, since I have spent all fall inside and sick I thought I should prepare myself for winter. I picked a very cute and very warm, puffy, camel colored down jacket with a furry hood, it's synthetic, don't worry. I did whine a little to Markham that I needed the coat before Christmas because the cold wasn't going to wait for Christmas. I wasn't really thinking he would cave. But I did have a point....and I am
so over my other coats. He said, "It is a Christmas present, you have to wait." Then, the other day, he brought a big box home, and told me to open it. I was not sure what it was, I have a number of things coming in the mail. I opened it, to find my new coat!!! I was a little confused, since I was sure I wouldn't see it until 12- 25.

Me: No, no Babe, it is a Christmas present. You can wrap it and I will wait. It is for Christmas.
Markham: No, I want you to have it now. It is not a Christmas present, it is a "I love you" present. It is for being a great mom. We have all been sick, including you, but you took care of all of us and you deserve it.
...and this is one of the many reasons why I love Markham, I am sure I don't deserve him. But I so love him.
