Christmas in Texas

We had Christmas morning at home and it was magical. The kiddos slept until about 8 and then we opened gifts and ate Cinnabon. The big surprise the year was a Disney Trip for Spring Break! #can'twait

Grandpa and Grandma Carroll flew in that night and stayed with us and then the next morning we drove over to Brian and Michelle's house. Matt and Emma and their kiddos had driven from Austin so we could all be together for a few days. We had a really great time.

It was a lot of fun for the kiddos and adults too!  It's hard to believe that both Markham's brothers are in Texas now. His parents are contemplating a move down here as well. Who would have thought? I guess Texas is pretty alright y'all!

We started a new tradition for Christmas Eve Dinner.

West Side Story

Kaitlyn and I met the silver team girls in Allen for a matinee of a classic.

We had a great time! One of our favorite things was having dinner and drinks brought right to our chairs. The best way to see a movie! #poshvibes

 Ms. Lauren is always fun and hilarious. So thankful for dance friends. They are the absolute best.

Addie's Birthday!

Adelyn turned 9 and we celebrated over several days! First we had a family party with dinner at Texas Roadhouse and cake at home. 

The next day Markham was a "Watchdog" at her school. Being a Watchdog means he was with her all day at school! 

At lunch time, I brought Sonic, Addie's choice.

She celebrated with friends on Saturday. They decorated gingerbread housed and ate pizza. Plenty of giggles, laughter and good times.

She wanted an ice cream cake and it was yummy! 

A couple things about Addie on her birthday--

She is a bundle of energetic fun! She loves soccer, dance (specifically hip hop and acro) and doing crafts. She loves dogs and wants to be a vet someday. She has many friends and boys who crush! She is smart and works hard. She loves math and reading. Her favorite shows on Netflix are Babysitters Club, Alexa and Kaitie, The Suite Life, and Austin and Ally, etc. Her best friend is Jackson. They love to watch shows and play Roblox together. 

I love you Addie! I feel so lucky to be your mom! xox

Markham and Jackson headed down to Waco for some guy time, and of course on the way they had to hit up the Czech Stop for some delicious kolaches.

We love watching Jackson play with the Blue Hawks! They play so well as a team and have qualified to play at the Tournament of Champs the last couple years. Grandpa Carroll planned a trip here so he could cheer Jackson on!

Thanksgiving

We headed to Austin to stay with Matt and Emma for a few days.

Super fun few days! We really enjoyed spending Thanksgiving with cousins!

 

We drove home and dropped the kiddos off and then headed downtown for a Dallas Stars game with friends! It was a blast!! They won! 

We were exhausted by the end of the night! We definitely took advantage of all the fun this weekend!!
