The last time at Costco. Markham stopped by after work and loaded up. I really miss losing control and buying all the things at Costco. Haha. Haven’t been since.
I think the dogs love Covid. All their people are home and want to cuddle.
Feeling a little house crazy we went to Founders Park to play baseball and run around. It felt strange and abandoned. We saw a couple other groups of people but they kept their distance.
More cuddle time
We made a road trip into Plano to get Krispy Kreme donuts. They were as delicious as we had remembered them. It was the middle of the day and the parking lot was a ghost town.
Sidewalk art!
Back patio chillin’
When Kaitlyn was a baby we bought some wheat in buckets for emergency food storage. After 13 years, we busted one open. The first few weeks of Covid were insane. Bread was scarce and I wasn’t about to go searching in a bunch of stores looking for it. We decided it was time to try out our vintage grinder that belonged to my grandmother.
Markham went to work and grinded enough wheat to make a loaf. He continued baking one loaf each week.
We have been playing a lot of games.
...and taking time to enjoy breakfast.
On weekends we pick a spot to get take-out. Fiiz and Costa Vida have been popular choices for the last couple weeks.
Yum!!
It was raining so we put the seats down and ate in the van. It was delicious!
The dance studio has been so fantastic. The girls have been busy doing zoom classes and having fun with silly challenges
Ranger loves Markham
We've been enjoying walks in the evening. The weather is perfect and everything is blooming.
Meanwhile....the shelves at Walmart
Mothers Day from Mard and the kiddos
Brian and Michelle moved into a new house so Audrey and Landon came and stayed with us for a night. The kiddos had a lot of fun with them. It's fun to live close to cousins. Our hearts ache for our Utah cousins but we love our Texas cousins too!
Kaitlyn and Addie were a huge help!
Meanwhile Ranger got his first haircut! HOLY COW!! The kids weren't sure it was even Ranger. I had my doubts too! He looks so different! But he has the same sweet eyes and curly tail.
....and he loves Markham.
Jackson is a sweet brother and gave Addie some of his chore money to use on a game they have been playing together. I was one proud momma. Addie was so excited and game him a big hug.
"Oh my gosh Jackson! Thanks so much!"
It's a weird time for sure. We are staying positive and enjoying our time as much as we can. We are pretty lucky to not be impacted as much as a lot of people. Markham has been working from home and he's really enjoying it. We've been able to get out and walk the dogs and sleep in a little. Not all bad. We canceled our travel plans this June, which is a huge heartbreaker. We will miss going to St. George. Hopefully we can go for a visit in a month or so.
Pandemic life feels very surreal. People are wearing masks and it's hard not to freak out. But we are managing and enjoying the upside. I doubt we'll ever forget this time.
