Spanish Program

It's pretty awesome that our elementary school has a Dual Spanish Immersion Program. We feel lucky that our kids are learning a second language. I always wished I could.  It comes in handy on our trips to Mexico. We are getting ready to go again in June!!

1st DaNCE CoMp of 2017

 It was a fun day. Kaitlyn's team did great.

I was proud of her. Not because she did a fantastic job, but because she tried.

She was super nervous and worried about her aerial. She wasn't sure if she should just do a cartwheel, but she summoned the courage and nailed it!!

It was beautiful.

When we got home that afternoon we saw this fun car sitting in the driveway. Grandpa bought it for his car collection. I love it! SO FUN!!

Fun at SeaQuest

The birds were so fun.

Jackson was a big fan.

We also had a lot of fun feeding the stingrays and gazing at all the beautiful sea life.

It was magical.

March Birthdays

March is loaded with birthdays in our family.

My mom, Markham, cousin Oakley, and Markham's sister.

We celebrate a lot this month.

Matinee ♥

Kaity and I went to Hidden Figures at the AMC.

We had such a great time together watching a powerful movie that made my eyes get misty more than once. The women who lived those lives are truly inspirational. I wanted Kaitlyn to see courageous woman who challenged the status quo.

Sometimes society gets things so wrong. I want my children to be aware. To be compassionate. To be good to others who are different. Seek to understand. Stand up for the marginalized.

A lot of people have endured and still endure a lot of pain and unjust treatment because of ignorance.

I want my kids to know better and do better.
